The Sault Sabercats hit the road for a road game at Ron Joyce Stadium in Hamilton at 1 p.m Sunday afternoon against the Ironmen who were entering the game with a 4 – 0 record, while the Sabercats hot the field with a 3 – 1 record.
At the end of the third quarter the Sabercats were leading the first place Ironmen 14 – 6.
Late in the fourth quarter, Hamilton took a 19 – 14 lead and didn’t look back and gave the Sabercats their second loss of the season. Hamilton sits atop the of the Adam’s Conference of the Ontario Varsity Football League along with the London Falcons. Hamilton and London are two games ahead of everyone in their division. Join the Sabercats at Rocky DiPietro Field in July as the Sabercats fight for one of the wild card spots in the Adam Conference. On July 7 the Sabercats host the Mississauga Warriors and on July 21, the final Saturday of the regular season, the Cats have another battle with huge playoff implications when we host the Essex Ravens. Both games are 1 p.m starts.
