The Blind River Beavers, Peter Dudek, a first year goalie for the Beavers accepted an offer to play for the Buffalo State Bengals hockey team in the 2012-13 season.
Dudek caught the attention of coach Jeremiah Crowe after he became aware that Dudek was interested in attending the school and was from the Buffalo area. While he stayed on the Bengals' radar, Dudek improved his stats over the course of the season eventually finishing with a 4.92 GAA.
With other D1 and D3 schools showing interest in him, Dudek toured the Buffalo State campus at the end of the season and was suitably impressed. "They're part of the SUNYAC conference which is the most competitive conference of D3 schools," says Dudek. "Add in a reputable business program and I was sold."
Team President Stuart Campbell said "It is every player's dream to advance from junior hockey to the next level and continue playing. The Board of Directors and coaches wish Peter all the best in his studies and new hockey career."
