Steelers Dominated by 1st Place Titans

The Sault Steelers hit the road for the second straight week when they traveled to Toronto to play the league leading Toronto Titans in the Northern Football Conference. 

The Steelers headed into week 9 with a 2 – 4 record while the Titans hit the field with a  7 – 0 record in NFC action. 

The Steelers couldn’t overcome the powerful Titans and came home with a 14 – 50 loss to their Toronto hosts on Birchmont field. 

Next up for the hometown Steelers will be their northern rivals the winless Sudbury Spartans on July 28th in Sudbury.

For the Sarnia Imperials and Tri City Outlaws, the Imperials won head to head.  Sault Steelers and Toronto Raiders, will not play each other, so, fewest points allowed is first tie breaker.
