Bantam Sox Sweep Thunder Bay Minor Bantams

The Elks 341 Bantam Black Sox swept the Thunder Bay minor bantams in a three-game exhibition series on the weekend. 

The Black Sox scored 59 runs in the three games, only giving up nine in the process. 

The Thunder Bay team was made up of primarily 14-year-olds. 

In game one, Connor Henderson had two runs batted in while singling twice in the weekend opener. Ronnie Sayers and Michael Wilson had a pair of singles each while Brandon Boyer added a double. 

In game two, Jamis McMaster knocked in three runs with an inside-the-park homerun and a single while Deward, Jarrod Sachro, Beau Nolan and Liam Riley also had two hits each. Colton Read had a double in the game two win. 

The Black Sox capped off the sweep on Sunday morning and were led offensively by Dewar, who had two singles and knocked in three runs. Sayers tripled and singled in the game three victory and also knocked in a pair of runs.

Riley also had three RBI’s in the finale while Wilson singled twice and knocked in two runs.
